About

My idea

BearGain is the place to be if you want to read about various financial ideas and thoughts about the economy and world challenges.

Why BearGain?

I thought it was a funny playword, and one of the last available domains which was short enough to be remembered.

However, don't get fooled by the name, I'm not a full all-time bear. I do have my bearish periods when P/E ratios are too high or that political challenges get too difficult, but on the long run I'm a full bullish person! I'm hopeful.

Investing Principles

  • • Fundamentals: I'm mostly a fundamental based investor & trader. I deeply think that a thoughtful trade or investment must rely on real value, created with problem-solving innovating companies.
  • • I like to section the money I invest into separate types. I have my long term money, and my play money. I do not want to lose my play money in any case, but I'm willing to take more risks in hope to beat the market.
  • • Emotions: They're my worst ennemy, and the worst of many of us. They must always stay out of our decision regarding financial markets. Do not get attached to your gains neither to your losses.

Editorial Principles

  • • Insight first: data visualisations and context accompany every story.
  • • Transparency: disclaimers and poll data are baked directly into article.
  • • Agility: glassmorphism UI and responsive layouts mean we look sharp on terminals and mobiles.
